Air Fares and Ticketing Course (Passport into
Air) is a professional qualification with Levels 1 & 2 being
recognised and approved by the International Air Transport Association
in the UK. Available at Foundation Level, Level 1 and Level 2. The
course can be undertaken by enrolling with one of our partner colleges.
ABTA Travel Agents Certificate (ABTAC).Now
known as the Certificate in Travel (Travel Agents), this is the
standard examination based qualification for travel agents, accepted
by large organisations and independents as demonstration of the
competence levels they expect from their frontline staff. Participants
can study by registering with one of our partner colleges. The course
is available at Primary and Advanced levels, now known as Level
2 and Level 3.
ABTA Tour Operators Certificate (ABTOC).
Now known as the Certificate in Travel (Tour Operators), this is
the standard examination based qualification for tour operators.
It is designed to test the knowledge, understanding and many of
the skills required by a tour operator. Available at Primary and
Advanced levels, now known as Level 2 and Level 3.
ATOC (Association of Train Operating Companies)
Quality of Service Course is a two day course and examination
covering fares, timetables, reservations and ticketing. The course
is a valuable addition to career development as each agency wishing
to qualify as a sales agent for Railways of Britain services must
have at least two members of staff in possession of the certificate.
Separate ELGAR Training Courses are available for booking GB rail
services on Global Distribution Systems.
Career in Travel The Travel Training
Programme is one of the largest and most comprehensive Apprenticeship
training schemes in the country, leading to a nationally recognised
qualification. Many companies from all sectors of the travel and
tourism industry recruit and train new staff exclusively through

Explorer Explorer contains the core
syllabus material for candidates working towards achieving either
ABTAC (ABTA Travel Agents Certificate) or ABTOC (ABTA Tour Operators
Certificate) at both primary and advanced levels. In addition Explorer
can be used when studying for the Travel Geography Certificate at
all three levels.
