NHS Logistics
NHS Logistics Authority delivers over £500m of stock to
over 400 NHS Trusts.
"TTC Training stood out from the competition when it came
to tendering for the contract. They offered the national coverage
we required, took account of business constraints and work patterns
and went out of their way to meet our needs. TTC made sure all staff
knew about the training on offer they even held road shows specifically
for the night shift.
TTC has made my life so much easier and taken care of all the paperwork
that I simply don't have the time or resources for in-house."
Jos Finer, Training & Development Manager, NHS Logistics
Paramount Hotels
The Paramount Group of Hotels offer 4 and 5 star properties in
the U.K.
"Some of the training providers we used previously had failed
to deliver the results we were expecting which was demotivating
and disappointing for the staff.
It was refreshing therefore when TTC Training spent time helping
us to develop a scheme that would suit the work-style of our organisation
and enable our staff to gain invaluable customer service skills,
resulting in a nationally recognised qualification."
Val Linley, Personnel & Training Manager, Palace Hotel Buxton
"Each candidate is visited regularly by a TTC Training assessor
and they can contact them at other times should they need to. This
ongoing support has been particularly well received by those on
the course. We have found the course particularly good because it
is so flexible. The training has been tailored so it is relevant
to each of the vast range of careers on offer at Paramount. Not
only have our staff achieved great success personally, we as a group
have seen the benefit of employee retention."
Des Lawson, Training Manager, Paramount Group
Wickes
Wickes is one of Britain's leading chains of Home Improvement Centres
"We have been working with TTC Training since since 1998.
They have been helping us with the Delivering Excellence programme
and we have been delighted with the results. Their NVQ assessors
are knowledgeable and professional. They get on well with both the
candidates and their managers - in short, they can't do enough to
help us.
We have recently extended the relationship and have asked them
to help with a number of learning support design issues."
Andy Rayner, Field Training Manager, Wickes
Sunsites
Sunsites provides self-drive mobile-home and camping holidays
"Our research highlighted a low level of knowledge of the
type of holidays and products that our company offers amongst travel
agency counter staff. From this research we identified three objectives
that we wanted to reach through training travel agency counter staff.
Firstly, we wanted to overcome their fear of selling European self-drive
mobile-home and camping holidays. Secondly, we wanted to place the
travel agents in a better position to promote and sell Sunsites
holidays and finally to help them to recognise potential camping
customers.
I can honestly say that the training exceeded any expectations
that I had, it was exciting and professionally delivered. We sent
out questionnaires to those that underwent the training to see how
much they had retained (responses to which are still flooding in).
The feedback we have had to date has been very positive, with travel
agents achieving average scores of over 96%. They have been commenting
on how much they have enjoyed the training module, which was appropriate
to our specialised sector."
Chris Saunders, Agency Sales Director, Sunsites
Carlson Wagonlit
Carlson Wagonlit is a major Business Travel Agent, part of The
Carlson Group
"Over the last couple of years we have used many of TTC Training's
services. We are particularly pleased with the closed courses TTC
Training runs for us. The advantage of this type of course is we
can specify our needs as a company and ensure training is designed
to meet them. Furthermore, in terms of time and cost, this method
is efficient as we can pull a number of our own staff together and
train them on the same product.
Additionally, we have also used TTC Training's NVQ programmes,
namely training administration personnel into business travel. This
is an excellent programme both in terms of content and method, offering
administration staff a structured work programme to allow progress
and development of trainee consultants.
Our successful relationship with TTC Training has also led to a
pilot scheme for a Management NVQ Level 4 with TTC Training. This
is a mixture of 'on the job' structured training supplemented by
courses provided by TTC Training and Carlson Wagonlit."
Sue Kavanagh, Director Human Resources, Carlson Wagonlit
Thomas Cook
Major leisure travel company in the British travel industry
"With over 620 stores and 100 standalone bureaux, Thomas Cook
is one of the major players in leisure travel. In fact we invented
the travel industry over 160 years ago and since then we continue
to perfect the personal leisure experience for our customers.
We have worked in partnership with TTC Training for many years
and in doing so we have attracted and recruited some great new talent
to our retail business. The recruitment of Apprentices is
fundamental to our succession planning and we have achieved lots
over the years - for example Apprentices have been promoted
to Customer Service and Store Manager roles. We even have some current
Regional Managers that joined us on the Apprentice scheme.
We have found TTC to be very professional and experienced in their
knowledge of providing a structured and efficient training and development
programme that complements our own internal training plans........so
if you are thinking of a career in travel, we would be PROUD for
you to be part of our team."
Colin Dalby, HR Manager - Recruitment, Thomas Cook
Irish Tourist Board
Welcoming over 4.5 million visitors to Ireland every year
"We commissioned TTC Training to develop a series of training
modules for UK travel agents and they have been so successful that
The Irish Tourist Board in New York commissioned an adapted version
for the US market.
TTC Training's experience was invaluable and their competency,
professionalism and extensive knowledge proved an effective tool
for raising the profile of Ireland."
Damian O'Brien, Trade Promotions Executive, Irish Tourist Board
