The new training package for travel students |
| The Explorer range has taken TTC Training two years of
planning and development to produce, including extensive research
through our partner college approved centres. It has been
designed to inspire and challenge students and support their
tutors in the delivery of travel qualifications.

Why Explorer? |
| Explorer contains the core syllabus material for candidates
working towards achieving the Certificate in Travel for travel
agents or tour operators at Level 2 and Level 3 - formerly
known as ABTAC (ABTA Travel Agents Certificate) and ABTOC
(ABTA Tour Operators Certificate) primary and advanced levels.

What does the Explorer range include? |
| Explorer offers a tutor pack and student packs covering
the following eight modules: |

2. The travel industry
3. Package holidays
4. Transportation
5. Related travel & tour operator services
6. Cruising
7. Tailor-made holidays
8. Emergencies & problems |

The Tutor Pack* - has been designed to provide valuable support
for teaching the ABTAC/ABTOC syllabuses in conjunction with
the Explorer candidate learning support material. A broad
range of activities is included, ensuring extensive coverage
of each syllabus requirements.
In addition, the tutor pack provides suggestions for lessons
and mock examination papers, complete with answers.
Travel Geography Module - additional publications are available
to support the Travel Geography module: |

The highly acclaimed Columbus World Travel Atlas, specifically
designed to give a comprehensive overview of the world
from a tourism perspective, including statistics and individual
country information.

A World Tourist Attraction handbook offering useful contact
details, advice on admission fees etc., for some of the
key tourist attractions.
*Only available to partner approved centres.

Where to study |
| The Explorer programme is available through TTC's approved
centres, generally Colleges of Further Education located
throughout the UK and Ireland.

What does it cost? |
|
Prices for Explorer are only available from TTC Training's
approved centres.
ABTAC Advanced - If candidates are already in possession
of modules 1-5 having studied ABTAC Primary level, they will
only need a further two modules, 6 & 7, to study ABTAC
Advanced level.
ABTOC Advanced - If candidates are already in possession
of modules 1,2,3,5,8 for ABTOC Primary they will only require
module 7 to study ABTOC Advanced level. |
