| The NAEA
Apprenticeship Programme
Training is an important issue for companies and organisations
in virtually all business sectors and property services is
no exception.
This qualification is available for estate agents within
the UK. It is designed for those working in the industry who
need to acquire or up-date their skills as professional negotiators
and can be completed within 12 months. Successful completion
results in National Vocational Qualification Levels 2 and
3 in the Sale of Residential Property.
Upon achieving NVQ level 3, candidates can independently
work towards the CPEA (Certificate of Practising Estate Agents)
and will find themselves exempt from the first three examinations
associated with this qualification.

| Is there
a cost?
No. TTC Training, using government funding claimed on your
behalf, meets the cost of the training programme. Employers
are only responsible for paying their participant the recommended
minimum weekly training allowance and, if applicable, travelling
expenses. |
| Who is
it for?
The programme offers school leavers and other young people
the opportunity to successfully undertake a structured training
programme to industry defined standards whilst in employment.
It offers you, the employer, the reassurance of a proficient
and well managed programme delivered to your junior staff
member by a leading training provider.
Usually participants are under 19 years old when they start
the programme, however in some regions we are able to take
people up to the age of 24 years. Existing staff members may
also be eligible and we will need to confirm this on an individual
basis. |
| Which
Qualification is Awarded?
Participants can study for the property services industry's
National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in the Sale of Residential
Property or Customer Service, along with key skills relevant
to their job role.
NVQ's provide highly relevant training to industry-defined
standards. Coaching in the workplace ensures that systems
are understood and skills developed. Although there may be
some written testing, assessment is on going and is based
on the candidate's ability to do the job.
The programme is entirely flexible, structured around the
seasonality of the job, without infringing on work time thus
providing your young employee with both the right hands-on
skills and a nationally recognised qualification. |
| What
is covered during the programme?
The programme is designed to provide up-to-date, ready to
use skills in the following areas:
- Customer Service
- Essential Law
- Gaining New Business

|
| How
is it organised?

modern self-study materials, industry workshops, assessment
and monitoring visits.

and their employers. |

| What
our customers have to say |
| James Jenkins of
the JNP Partnership, High Wycombe describes why his company
chose the NAEA Apprenticeship Programme for an office junior
who is keen to make estate agency their career. |
| "Our policy
is to use a mixture of external recruitment and training
for existing staff to obtain the necessary skills to move
our business forward.
The training course offered by TTC Training offers a fast
track way to achieve what previously
would have taken up to six years. In just two years, trainees
acquire the
relevant qualifications and necessary skills to do the job
properly.
This results in professional and competent staff and happy
clients." |
| Paul Wilson, Wilsons
Estate Agency, East Sussex |
| "This is proving
to be a very valuable course. It has increased our staff
knowledge and given them greater understanding of, for example,
the
Property Misdescriptions Act and our obligations to it.
We are a small firm and as such are able to give excellent
in-house
day-to-day, hands-on training. But we are exceedingly busy
and do not have
the opportunity for more formal training and testing." |
| Philip Arnold, Knights
Independent Estate Agents, West Drayton |
| "The course
has made our staff much more aware of the way the business
works as a whole and the reasons behind our working practices.
They have also been coming up with some really good ideas
that will improve the way we work. Sometimes in the past when
I have sent staff on training courses they have looked on
it as more of a duty but this is not at all the case here." |
