Why select our Galileo or Amadeus GDS Viasinc course?

The course complements the delivery of air fares and ticketing programmes and, upon successful completion, affords candidates IATA points.

The VIASINC Galileo or Amadeus course is a sophisticated programme that can turn your PC into a simulated Galileo or Amadeus set. The simulator can be accessed at any point during the course and will enable the user to build up their confidence in readiness for using the real system in the workplace.

Which level?

Once the course is completed and the end test passed, the Primary Level is equivalent to 10 IATA points and the Advanced Level to 20 IATA points.

The average time taken to complete the Primary Level course is 50 hours, but this may vary from centre to centre. The Advanced Level is similar. There may be some slight variations between the Galileo and Amadeus courses given the different operating systems, but the same topics are covered.

How is it tested?

By computerised examination.

When the student completes the final examination on the computer at the end of the course and achieves a score of 85% or higher, the centre applies directly to VIASINC in the USA for the certificate of completion, together with a covering letter per student awarding 10 IATA points at Primary Level and 20 IATA points at Advanced Level. This will count towards the agency accreditation programme. Examination fees are also paid directly to VIASINC.
